Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following public roads periodically commencing from Tuesday, 21 July 2026 to Tuesday, 15 September 2026 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act 1993 (as amended).

Alternative Routes: 1. N78 – R417 – R429 – L8065 Southbound traffic travelling on the N78 proceed to junction with R417, Carlow Road, and turn right. Proceed to Maganey and turn right onto the R429. Take first turn right onto the road leading back to Athy. 2. L8065 – R429 – R417 – N78 Traffic travelling North on the R429 proceed into Maganey. Turn left onto the R417, Carlow Road, and proceed to the N78. Turn left onto the N78 and proceed to next junction, Fortbarrington Road. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
