Roads Regulations, 1994
Kildare County Council, on behalf of Causeway Geotech, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads on Monday, 14 September 2026 to Tuesday, 15 September 2026 to facilitate Jigginstown 220kV route ground investigation works.

Alternative Routes: L6066: Take Rathasker road for 2km to South Ring Road Take left at Junction of South Ring Road and R445. At Commercials Roundabout take first exit for L6066 Ladytown. Continue along the L6066 towards Ladytown rejoining the original route. L6069: Take a right at junction with L6067 Newland South. Turn left on to R448 for 1km and turn left on to Rathasker Road. Turn left at junction onto Rathasker Road. Continue along Rathasker Road rejoining original route. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, at the address below or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. Monday, 24 August 2026.
