Kildare County Council, on behalf of Coffey, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Thursday, 30 October 2025 to Tuesday, 25 November 2025 to facilitate upgrade works on behalf of Uisce Éireann.

Alternative Routes: Road users travelling on the R157 will be diverted to stay on the R157 at the L1014 / R157 junction for a further 1.1km until you come to the junction of L5050 Dunboyne Road. Turn right onto the L5050 to follow the diversion for 1km which will bring you to the end of the closure. The closure starts at the junction L1014 / L1015 at Kellystown, the diversion will begin with a left-hand turn. You will follow this diversion for 1km when you reach the junction of R148 / L1014 near Deey Bridge. Turn right here onto the R148. Follow the diversion for a further 3km and turn right onto the R157 where this will bring you to the end of the closure. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
