Overview

Kildare LCDC are inviting applications for Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021. This grant scheme funding will be provided to social enterprises towards small scale capital costs.  Only social enterprises, as defined in the National Social Enterprise Policy, may apply under this scheme.

The Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development from the Dormant Accounts Fund and administered by Kildare Local Community Development Committees (LCDC).   

Kildare LCDC has been allocated €35,053.13 under this scheme.

The aim of the Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021 is to provide:

  • Small grants towards capital projects, equipment, repairs or refurbishment of existing facilities for social enterprises with services based in Kildare.
  • Read the Social Enterprise Grant Scheme guidelines 2021 available below.
  • Review the YouTube guide prepared by Kildare County Council on how to use the new online grant application system. While some of the questions are changed to fit the criteria of the Social Enterprise Grant Scheme this video provides a step by step guide to help applicants with the online grant process. https://youtu.be/HuD4RQSGg_s 

Kildare LCDC are inviting applications in the range of €5,000 to €10,000.

Making an application

Please note that applications have moved to an online system, any applications submitted by hand, post or email will not be considered. It is highly advisable that applicants give plenty of time to make their applications. As this is a new online system, it is recommended that applications are made at least two days before the closing date.
