Born in Dublin in 1929, Nolan studied Fine Art at St. Martin’s College of Art in London and the National College of Art in Dublin. He specialises in landscape and figurative paintings in watercolour and oils. He has exhibited across Ireland, in mainland Europe, including the Uffizi in Florence, and in the USA. This work is executed in a style similar to late Impressionism, with loose brushstrokes.
