Rebecca Homfray is a printmaker whose work is inspired by the natural world, particularly the rich flora and fauna she encountered growing up in the Kent countryside in south-east England. Living and working in Ireland for over twenty years, she continues to draw on her close observation of nature to create detailed and imaginative prints that celebrate the beauty and complexity of the environment. Working primarily in linocut and other printmaking techniques, Homfray is attracted to the medium’s combination of craftsmanship, experimentation and unpredictability. She has exhibited widely in Ireland and internationally and has been an active member of the printmaking community through projects and exhibitions with Leinster Printmaking Studio.
