A number of organisations key to the cultural infrastructure of County Kildare receive regular funding from Kildare Arts Service. Framework agreements have been developed through a collaborative process between each organisation and Kildare Arts Service in order to highlight the shared strategic priorities for arts development in Kildare; setting out a vision and goals for what we can achieve together. These agreements take cognisance of the national agreement, A Framework for Collaboration (2016 – 2025) between the Arts Council and the County and City Management Association, to support arts development at a local level.
Framework agreements are reviewed and agreed upon each year by Kildare County Council Arts Service and each regularly funded organisation. The agreement sets out a shared vision and goals for what can be achieved together. It has been developed through a collaborative process between both organisations, taking into consideration the Arts Service’s functions within Kildare County Council, the Arts Service’s strategy ‘In Perpetual Motion An Arts Strategy for Kildare County 2023 – 2027 / Ag Gluaiseacht go Síoraí Straitéis Ealaíon do Chomhairle Contae Chill Dara 2023 – 2027 and in the content of A Framework for Collaboration, the national agreement between the Arts Council and the County and City Management Association.
