Protecting Our Watercourses – Reminder: Closed Season for Spreading of Farmyard Manure
6th October 2025: Kildare County Council would like to remind farmers that the spreading of farmyard manure on agricultural land is strictly prohibited between 1st November 2025 and 12th January 2026.
This measure is a vital part of the Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) Regulations, designed to protect water quality and to prevent pollution in our local watercourses.
