Kildare County Council Progresses Local Transport Strategy for Maynooth and Environs
Public Consultation event on 6th December
Online Public Consultation Survey now open
Kildare County Council is continuing the development of a Local Transport Plan for Maynooth and Environs.
An initial ‘Phase 1’ public consultation survey was undertaken in October and November 2021 which gathered views from the public on transport issues in Maynooth and its environs. This feedback has been used to develop the specific measures in the draft Transport Strategy.
Kildare County Council now wishes to invite feedback from members of the public on these specific measures. Following the consideration of responses, the Transport Strategy will be finalised and published.
The online public consultation survey is now open and the deadline for submissions is Wednesday 4th January. Submissions can also be made in writing. Further information on how to make a submission are available here –
As part of the consultation phase an in-person event will be held in the Corrib Suite in the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth on the 6th of December from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. This will offer the public an opportunity to view the specific measures proposed and meet the project team.
