Local Enterprise Office, Kildare Collaborate with Trinity College Dublin to Launch Postgraduate Programme in Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Small Businesses
Local Enterprise Offices of Kildare, Meath and Wicklow partner to launch a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development accredited by Trinity College Dublin and based in MERITS, the Mid-East Region’s Innovation Think-Space.
In securing this partnership, Jacqui McNabb, Head of Enterprise and Economic Development in Kildare County Council said; “For many companies there is a wide gap between their aspirations to innovate and their ability to execute. By supporting innovation at the core of each business, we can support and bridge that gap to ensure that our clients have a competitive edge and the ambition to be global leaders.”
Ken Finnegan, CEO of Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace, added; “Trinity is the number one university in Europe for producing entrepreneurs for the 7th consecutive year and over the last 10 years Trinity has invested €101.2m equity-free into its student’s start-ups.”
The part-time course, which runs over 18 weeks from January to June 2023, will be hosted in MERITS, Naas, Co. Kildare. The course is for those seeking to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, a new career path or wishing to upskill and progress within their current organisation. The Trinity Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise Development will provide ambitious individuals in the region with the opportunity to gain a postgraduate qualification at level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
