Six in the Attic is Irish Theatre Institute’s flagship mentoring programme, offering tailored dramaturgical support to early‑ and mid‑career theatre artists. The programme brings selected participants into focused, one‑to‑one mentorship with experienced practitioners, providing dedicated time and space to test ideas, interrogate practice, and develop new work at a formative stage. Rooted in peer exchange as well as individual guidance, Six in the Attic supports artistic risk‑taking, reflective practice and the sustainable development of theatre makers working across forms and disciplines.
Kildare Arts Service funds one place on this mentoring programme per year for selected Kildare based theatre practitioners.
