Exhibition Launch: ‘All the Queen’s Men and all the Queen’s Women’ by Michael Rowley
Thursday, May 15th, 6.30pm
This series (20 pieces) is an exhibition of original historic photographs 1860-1878, never before publicly displayed - the unknown photographer, J.F.Church, was active on the Curragh Camp as the first official Camp photographer from 1858 to 1890. As this photographer was Kildare-based, active during the Victorian era and focused on the British army, this proposal complements the theme of the Military Seminar 2025. Michael will also give a lecture on J.F.Church and Victorian photography 1840-1890.
No booking required - all welcome!
This exhibition will be on display from Thursday 15th to Saturday 31st May.
