“The Colour of our Land and Sea” By Anne Deere
Anne is a self-taught artist, painting for 20 years in her studio in Carlow.
Painting is one of my main passions in life, I love our Irish landscapes and our seas, where the beautiful colours can be seen. This is where my inspiration comes from when I immerse myself in my paintings.
“My main medium is Oils, but I paint in Encaustic where I use Bees wax, Damier wax and Oil pigment to create my paintings. This is a very exciting medium to use, it entails using a heat gun and a gas flame.”
