Artist's Statement: The sculpture "Securus" (after the painting by Gustav Klimmt, "The Kiss",) is about the source of emotional security. Providing us with the strength to meet whatever challenges that may come to us in life, emotional security is the very foundation of our lives. It is the most valuable and precious thing that we will ever experience.

About the Artist: Born in 1962. Practicing professional artist since 1989. Public Art forms the main activity with important commissions in Dublin city centre and other centres around Ireland. The resounding emphasis in my work is that of our spiritual reality. Working with communities and often involving the community for whom the work is intended, my work  forms a bridge between spiritual reality and material reality. We are all interconnected in the web of life. Feeling this and knowing this increases the prevalence of beauty in our lives. Through large scale public commissions and smaller scale private commissions the  work provides a platform for adaptive change which is essential to our world.
