Kildare County Council gives notice on behalf of the Cleantech Project Team of impending roadworks in the below locations to facilitate installation of ESB ducting from the Solar farm to the Sub-station in Kildare town.
Due to the narrow nature of the roads, a road closure has been granted for the affected portion of the R401 and for the L7016.
1. The closure for the R401 will commence on the 24th June and will be completed on the 19th July.
2. The closure for the L7016 will commence on the 22nd July and will be completed on the 30th August.
During these periods there will be no through traffic allowed on the routes during working hours.
The road closures will be located close to the work zones and move in conjunction with the progression of the duct installation (from North to South).
Defined diversion routes will be in place at all times.
At the weekends and at some out of hours times during the week (6pm to 6am) it is envisaged that the road will be opened and that a traffic light-controlled stop & go will be in operation at the location of the works.
Signage will be in place to confirm when this is in operation.
