Glas Civil Engineering Ltd are continuing works on the Royal Canal Greenway scheme from Louisa Bridge, Leixlip to Maynooth Harbour

As part of this scheme, the section of the towpath/greenway from Pike Bridge to Maynooth Harbour will be closed for upgrade works from the 10 June 2024 for approximately 22 weeks. As part of this scheme, upgrade works will be carried out on the R148 road at Louisa Bridge starting from the 27May 2024. Traffic management with a periodic stop/go shuttle system will be in place for these works. Glas Civil Engineering Ltd will be commencing works on the Royal Canal Greenway scheme from Louisa Bridge, Leixlip to Maynooth Harbour from the 09 May 2024.

Works will initially be commencing at Louisa Bridge, Leixlip. From the 09 May 2024 for approximately 8 weeks, access from the greenway/towpath to the R148 at Louisa Bridge will be closed to the public to facilitate the upgrade works.
