Creative Places Athy Making Connections Award

Making Connections is a new grant offered through Creative Places Athy to support to collaborative projects between artists/creatives and communities to deliver an art project that connects people. The project can build on an existing project or, research and grow a new idea, across art forms. The grant will respond to the challenges of reconnecting after a period of disconnection, by supporting opportunities for civic, social and community groups and individuals to resource themselves to creatively engage and connect with each other.

Applications are welcome from artists/creatives, groups, community groups, collectives, solo applicants and cultural organisations. Proposals can include artists/creatives working with artists or artists/creatives working with communities of place or interest. Community is at the heart of Creative Places, so all successful projects should include the input of local people and communities.The project should be based in Athy town, or within the Municipal District.

Grants are available up to €2,000. Successful projects should commence before 31st December 2022.
