About My Workshop:

Documentary and Stop-Animation Workshops with Michael Fortune

As part of the 2011 programme Michael Fortune will offer schools a choice

of Stop-Animation and/or Documentary making workshops. During these short

workshops each class will devise script, script and shoot their own

animations and documentaries using a variety of digital media techniques.

The stop-animations film will be based around the  resources available

within the classroom such as whiteboards, pencil cases, school bags etc,

while the documentaries will be based around current school curriculum and

activities. Michael will contact any interested school prior to the

workshops to confirm approach and theme. Depending on the needs of the

school workshops can range in duration from one hour to all-day events.

Depending on the wishes of the school, the final films will be exported to mobile phones,

burned onto DVDs or uploaded onto YouTube. Michael will supply all

production and editing equipment and as a result students will see their

ideas come to fruition by the end of each workshop.
