Born in Birmingham, England, in 1973 Paul McKinley now lives and works in Dublin. He has exhibited in a number of solo and group show across Ireland.
This painting by McKinley is executed in a photorealistic style, the artist shows off his skills showing his ability to recreate the mirror-like relfective surface of the river and the details of each and every leaf and blade of glass. Compostitionally it is similar to Monet’s studies of riversides with lush vegetaion reflected in the river, although the style is quite different.
