“A Wise Woman Told Us Tales of Our Future”

This work by Aaron Ross, although of unconventional composition, contains elements similar to classic works of illustration. The figure of the woman and the bird in particular are reminiscent of the illustrations of the Irish artist Harry Clarke. Clarke, a stained glass artists as well as an illustrator, illustrated many books including the fairy tails of Hans Christian Andersen and “Tales of Mystery and Imagination” by Edgar Allen Poe.
