“Behavin’”

This work by E.J. Peters is a text based work, though it is more in the tradition of Chinese or Arabic calligraphy than modern western text based artists, with emphasis on handwriting and form rather than typography or the actual text. In the Far East calligraphy (the art of writing) has for hundreds of years been seen as one of the highest forms of art using the same techniques of traditional scroll paintings. In Arabic calligraphy is seem as the highest form of art in the Islamic culture providing a link between language and religion.
