Maynooth University and Kildare Library Service & Arts in Co Kildare seek applications for a Writer-in-Residence.
Applications are invited by writers of established reputation for one positions co-funded by Maynooth University and Kildare Arts and Library Services, which celebrates a decade-long partnership with this residency. The residency will run from 1st October 2024 – 30th September 2025, with duties expected to average approximately six hours per week contact time with students and the wider public. The role is designed to provide students and the broader community with the opportunity to engage with writers of distinction, as well as providing the writers with time to advance their current project(s).
Recent Writers-in-Residence at Maynooth University include Fíona Scarlett, Paul Lynch, Christodoulos Makris, Eoin McNamee, Annemarie Ní Churreáin, Sue Rainsford, Susan Tomaselli, and Joanna Walsh. The positions are open to writers working in poetry and/or creative prose.
