Paula Barrett joins the Arts Team 

The Arts Service is delighted to welcome Paula Barrett to the team as Assistant Arts Officer. Paula has worked predominantly in collaborative and educational work in the public sphere, and has 10+ years experience working on community art projects around Ireland. Her background is in visual art and she has exhibited both nationally and internationally.  Her works are part of private and public collections including Office of Public Works (OPW). 


Paula received her MA in Art in the Contemporary World and BA in Fine Art Media and History of Art from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD). She has worked in the Publications and Outreach department at IMMA, has sat on the artists panel of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and has been employed as an outreach facilitator for Temple Bar Gallery and Studios. Recent art in context projects have been led by Paula on Bere Island, County Cork. and Rathcroghan, County Sligo, through funding from the Irish Heritage Council. In her previous role as academic coordinator role for TU Dublin, she designed courses and managed the logistical elements of programmes run in conjunction with the university’s overseas partners in China. During this time she obtained further qualifications in people management and marketing communications.
