Barbara dunne - Untitled

Barbara Dunne

Born in Dublin, Barbara studied Fine Art Printing at the Crawford College of Art in Cork. She has exhibited across Ireland, Europe and in the United States.

This lithograph print by Barbara Dunne is reminiscent of George Braque’s African art inspired lithograph prints of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Braque, like Dunne, used vibrant colours. His compositions, also like Dunne’s were largely abstract, but often with the reoccurring theme of birds: the pattern under the yellow in Dunne’s work can be read as four black birds on a white background.
