Roads Regulations1994 

Kildare County Council, gives notice, on behalf of Jons Civil Engineering Company Ltd, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it will close the following roads between Wednesday, 19 June and Friday, 30 August 2024 to facilitate resurfacing works on the M7 between Junction 12 and Junction 14.

Please note, only one closure will be in place at any one time.

Alternative routes for M7 Kildare Bypass (Eastbound):

Junction 14 to Junction 13:

Divert from the M7 at Junction 14 (Monasterevin), take the first exit from the roundabout, then turn right onto the R445 towards Kildare town. Continue straight on the R445 until the Junction of R445 and R415, then turn right towards the M7 Motorway. At the first roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the second roundabout, take the first exit to rejoin the M7 eastbound.

Junction 13 to Junction 12:

Divert from the M7 at Junction 13 (Kildare), take the first exit from the roundabout onto the R415. At the second roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the Junction of R445 and R415, turn right towards Kildare town. Continue straight on the R445 until the Junction of R445 and R413, turn right towards the M7 Motorway. At the roundabout, take the second exit to rejoin the M7 eastbound.

Alternative routes for M7 Kildare Bypass (Westbound):

Junction 12 to Junction 13:

Divert from the M7 at Junction 12 (Newbridge), take the fourth exit from the roundabout onto the R413. At the second roundabout, take the first exit towards the Curragh Racecourse. At the Junction of R413 and R445, turn left and continue straight on the R445 towards Kildare Town. At the Junction of R445 and R415, turn left towards the M7 Motorway. At the first roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the second roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the third roundabout, take the second exit to rejoin the M7 westbound.

Junction 13 to Junction 14:

Divert from the M7 at Junction 13 (Kildare), take the third exit from the roundabout onto the R415. At the second roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the third roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight on the R415. At the Junction of R415 and R445, turn left towards Monasterevin. Continue straight on the R445 until the Junction of R445 and M7 Junction 14, turn left, then at the roundabout, take the second exit to continue straight. At the second roundabout, take the second exit to rejoin the M7 westbound.

Alternative routes for R415:

M7 Junction 13 towards Kildare Town:

At M7 Junction 13 (Kildare), take the R415 southbound towards Nurney. At the roundabout of R415 and L4017, take the first exit on to the L4017. Continue straight on the L4017 towards Kildare Town until the Junction of R445 and L4017. Turn left onto the R445 and continue straight until the Junction of R445 and R415. Continue straight for Monasterevin or turn left for Kildare Village Outlet.

Kildare Town towards M7 Junction 13:

Divert from the R415 at the Junction of R445 and R415. Turn right on to the R445 and continue straight towards Kildare Town until the Junction of R445 and L4017. Turn right on to the L4017 and continue straight until the roundabout of R415 and L4017. Take the first exit to rejoin the R415 southbound or take the second exit to join the M7 motorway.

Diversionary routes, will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
