Road Traffic Act 2004 – Section 10
N7 in the townlands of Greenhills and Kill West
Kildare County Council, in accordance with the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and in the interest of road safety, hereby makes the following Order in respect of the area comprising the administrative county of Kildare;
This order may be cited as the County of Kildare Road Works Speed Limit Order NRO3/2024.
80 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the Roads as specified in the First Schedule to this order;
First Schedule
Roads in respect of which a Road Works Speed Limit of 80 kilometres per hour is prescribed;
A section of the N7 in the townlands of Greenhills.
N7 Eastbound Junction 8 to Junction 7 will run from Tuesday, 19 March 2024 until Thursday, 28 March 2024.
- Part of the N7 Eastbound between a point 585 metres west of the centre line of the Johnstown Interchange (N7 Junction 8) to a point 1,085 metres west of the centre line of the Johnstown Interchange (N7 Junction 8).
- Part of the N7 Eastbound between a point 1,085 metres west of the centre line of the Johnstown Interchange (N7 Junction 8) to a point 1,200 metres east of the centre line of the Kill Interchange (N7 Junction 7)
(Total 500m in length).
60 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the Roads as specified in the Second Schedule to this order;
Second Schedule
Roads in respect of which a Road Works Speed Limit of 60 kilometres per hour is prescribed;
A section of the N7 in the townlands of Greenhills and Kill West.
N7 Eastbound Junction 8 to Junction 7 will run from Tuesday, 19 March 2024 until Thursday, 28 March 2024.
(Total 500m in length).
An Garda Síochána and Transport Infrastructure Ireland have indicated that they have no objections to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
This Road Works Speed Limit Order will apply from Tuesday, 19 March 2024 until Thursday, 28 March 2024.
