Proposed Traffic Calming Measures
Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994
In accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, Kildare County Council hereby gives notice of its intention for:
Proposed Rapid Build Scheme to protect cycle infrastructure and vulnerable road users on the Shinkeen Road, Celbridge consisting of:
- Installation of cycle lane bollard and kerb separators along carriageway.
- Installation of new bus platforms along carriageway.
- Additional protection provided at R403 Dublin Road junction and the R405 Hazelhatch Road junction.
- Additional protection provided at estate entrance junctions.
- Uncontrolled pedestrian points to be upgraded at identified estate entrance junctions; and
- Red thermoplastic surfacing to be reinstated at all junctions.
- Drawings showing the proposed works will be available for inspection at the following locations from Tuesday, 19 March 2024 to Thursday, 18 April 2024:
