Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road periodically during the period commencing Tuesday, 23 April 2024 to Friday, 17 May 2024 to facilitate the resurfacing and maintenance of the road network.

Alternative Routes: VIA; 1. R410 – L2019 – L6038 2. L6038 – L2019 – R410 Eadestown - Rathmore Northbound traffic travelling from Eadestown to Rathmore on the R410 at the Eadestown Junction will be diverted along the R410 Blessington Road heading westwards towards Beggers End Cross, before turning right towards Haynestown along the L2019 road before being directed right onto the L6038 Rathmore Road heading southwards towards Rathmore Crossroads Junction where the diversion ends. Rathmore - Eadestown Southbound traffic travelling from Rathmore to Eadestown on the L6038 will be diverted along the L6038 Rathmore Road heading northwards to its junctions with the L2019, then turning left heading westwards through Haynestown before arriving at Beggers End Junction with the R410 Blessington Road, then turning left towards Eadestown along the R410 Blessington Road heading eastwards towards Eadestown Junction where the diversion ends. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained. Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 08 April 2024.
