Kildare County Council, on behalf of Coffey, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Tuesday, 08 October 2024 to Monday, 13 January 2025 to facilitate 180lm of waste water, 160m of new footpath, 150m road widening, 150lm of street lighting, and 33lm of soak away pits.

Alternative Routes: Eastbound stay on the R447 for a further 400m until you come to the roundabout junction of the R447, the R448 and the L2039 (Kilcullen Road Roundabout) then take the R448 (Kilcullen Road) southbound for 1.4km. A right-hand turn will then bring you onto Rathasker Road. Northbound stay on Kilcullen Road for a further 1.4km, at Kilcullen Road Roundabout you take a left onto the R447. From the roundabout take a left, after 400m take another left which will bring you onto Rathasker Road. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 23 September 2024.
