Material Contravention of the Sallins Local Area Plan 2016-2022

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 34(6) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) that Kildare County Council intends to consider deciding to grant permission to Oliver Reilly Funeral Directors Ltd., for change of use from Retail Convenience / Workshop use to a Funeral Home, incorporating internal changes, signage and all associated site works at Block 2, Railway House, The Waterways, Sallins, Co. Kildare, W91 K6PN.
The development is proposed on lands zoned ‘K: Commercial and Residential: “To protect and improve existing commercial and residential uses and provide for additional compatible uses”, where the proposed Funeral Home use would not normally be permitted under the land use zoning matrix. The development would therefore contravene materially that zoning objective of the Sallins Local Area Plan 2016-2022.
