Road Traffic Act 2004 - Section 10
R148 in the townlands of Maynooth, Donaghmore, Carton Demesne, Blakestown and Kilmacredock Lower.
Kildare County Council, in accordance with the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and in the interest of road safety, hereby makes the following Order in respect of the area comprising the administrative county of Kildare;
This order may be cited as the County of Kildare Road Works Speed Limit Order KCC01/2024.
50 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the roads as specified in this order;
Roads in respect of which a Road Works Speed Limit of 50 kilometres per hour is prescribed:
A section of the R148 in the townlands of Maynooth, Donaghmore, Carton Demesne, Blakestown and Kilmacredock Lower.
- Part of the R148 east of Maynooth from a point 95 meters west of the centre of the Pike Bridge Junction (R157)/L5053 Junction to west of Leixlip at a point 225 meters west of the centre of the Kellystown (L1014)/R148 Junction.
(Total 1,600m in length).
An Garda Síochána have indicated that they have no objection to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
This Road Works Speed Limit Order will apply from Monday, 07 October 2024 until Friday, 28 March 2025.
