Exciting News:  A New Community Centre is Coming Soon!

We are delighted to announce that a new community centre is opening soon in Allenwood, Co. Kildare.

The community centre will be used for community related purposes.

Expressions of Interest for Caretaker of Allenwood Community Centre

Site Location: Former credit union in Allenwood, Co Kildare, W91 YT53

Kildare County Council are currently completing refurbishment works on the former credit union building in Allenwood for use as a community centre for the local community.

The community centre consists of the following;

• One large multi-purpose room
• Two small multi-purpose rooms

Kildare County Council are now seeking expressions of interest from groups that may be interested in entering into a Caretakers Agreement with Kildare County Council regarding the operation and use of the community centre in Allenwood, which is to be used for community related purposes.

Caretaker responsibilities include;

• Ensuring the community centre is open and available as a public space for non-commercial local community groups.
• Ensuring the upkeep of the community centre.
• Supervising the activities in the community centre.
• Have the relevant public liability insurance in place.
• Manage the bookings of the community centre and ensure all facilities are available to users in a satisfactory manner.
• Promote maximum use of the community centre.

Kildare County Council are now seeking expressions of interest from groups that may be interested in entering into a Caretakers Agreement.
