Applications are now invited from owners and custodians of historical buildings in need of repair and conservation, to apply under the Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2025 for funding to maintain and conserve these important structures.

Several changes have been made to the scheme for 2025 including, but not limited to the following;

  • an increase to the maximum grant threshold from €15,000 to €50,000 up to a maximum of 80% of the total project cost (total value of all public funding received including funding from other public agencies must not exceed 80%)

A method statement is a summary plan of the works intended to be carried out.  The method statement can be completed by a Contractor, Architect or Conservation Professional engaged to carry out the work or whoever has provided the quote to undertake the works.  The length and detail of the method statement will vary depending on the type of works being applied for.
