The Council is responsible for compiling the Register of Electors (voting register) for Co. Kildare. The Register is updated on an ongoing basis. Persons aged 18 or over who are otherwise qualified can register to vote. Persons aged 16 and 17 who are otherwise eleigible may pre-register, but will only become eligible to vote upon turning 18.
