Leixlip Local Area Plan 2020 - 2023
Extension of Leixlip Local Area Plan 2020 - 2023 to 30th March 2026 (inclusive)
In accordance with Section 19 of the Planning & Development Act 2000, as amended, the members of Kildare County Council at the October Council meeting on Monday 24th October 2022 adopted the following resolution for the Leixlip Local Area Plan 2020 - 2023
To extend the life of the Leixlip Local Area Plan 2020-2023 by a further 3 years (i.e. up to 30th March 2026), in accordance with the provision of Section 19 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), and defer the sending of a notice under Section 20(3)(a)(i) and publishing a notice under section 20(3)(a)(ii) of the Act for that 3 years. The extension of the LAP is sought in order to provide certainty and opportunity to realise the strategic objectives of the Leixlip Local Area Plan 2020-2023, which are in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area’.
The Draft Leixlip Local Area Plan was adopted by the members of full council at a special meeting held on Monday 16th December 2019. Please note that this L.A.P. will be in force for a period of 3 years from 2020 – 2023.
