Kildare County Council Progresses Local Transport Plan for Newbridge
Public Consultation event on Thursday 25th July
Online Public Consultation Survey now open
Kildare County Council is continuing the development of a Local Transport Plan for Newbridge and is seeking public consultation on the draft Local Transport Plan.
An initial ‘Phase 1’ public consultation survey was undertaken in August and September 2022 which gathered views from the public on transport issues in Newbridge. This feedback has been used to develop the specific measures in the draft Transport Strategy. These include short, medium and long-term measures to improve walking, cycling, parking, public transport and roads in the town.
Kildare County Council now wishes to invite feedback from members of the public on these specific measures via a public consultation process. Following the consideration of responses, the Transport Strategy will be finalised and published.
The online public consultation survey is now open and the deadline for submissions is Sunday 15th September. Submissions can also be made in writing. Further information on how to make a submission are available here –
As part of the consultation phase an in-person event will be held in the Town Hall, Newbridge on Thursday 25th July from 3.30pm to 8.30pm. This will offer the public an opportunity to view the specific measures proposed and meet the project team.
