Extension of Deadline for Increased Cost of Business Grant
As part of Budget 2024, the Government introduced a package of €257m for the Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) Grant as a vital measure for small and medium businesses. Kildare County Council, funded through Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE), will manage the rollout of the grant to qualifying businesses in Kildare.
The portal through which submissions can be made - mycoco.ie/icob had closed on 1st May 2024. However, it has now been reopened for any businesses that did not apply previously. Any businesses who wish to apply for the ICOB grant can do so until 29th May, 2024.
The Portal will close again at midnight on 29th May 2024.
To qualify for the grant, businesses must be tax compliant, possess a valid Tax Registration Number (TRN) and be rates compliant. Rates compliance does not mean your rates account has to be fully paid to get the grant. Business who are in an agreed payment plan may be deemed to be rates complaint.
