Kildare County Council invites applications for Local Improvement Scheme 2024/2025

For the improvement of non-public roads

Following Minister Humphreys announcement allocating €1,074,515 in funding over the next two years, Kildare County Council is now inviting applications for funding under the Local Improvement Scheme 2024.

There are a number of changes in the qualifying criteria for the scheme, including:

• only one parcel of land serviced by the road needs to be engaged in agricultural activities
• In addition, amenity roads leading to important community amenities such as graveyards and tourist attractions are also eligible

To be considered for funding, applicants must assess their eligibility by reading the guidelines for this scheme and submit an application for consideration by Friday, 24 May 2024.  Information about the scheme, and online application are available to view online – https://kildarecoco.ie/AllServices/Transport/localImprovementScheme/
