New Playpark opened in Allenwood by Kildare County Council
Kildare County Council is pleased to announce the opening of a new playpark featuring a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), Playground Outdoor Gym and BMX Pump Track. The completion of this project marks a significant milestone in Kildare County Council’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional recreational facilities for the local Community. The project was funded through contributions from Development Levies, local property tax, and Drehid community grants scheme.
The Playpark covers an area of 3200M2 and aims to create an environment where children, young people, and families can come together to engage in active play and enjoy the outdoors. A diverse range of activities is offered to allow children of all ages and abilities to play, interact and socialise together.
The MUGA provides a versatile space for various sports, enabling individuals to participate in their favourite games or explore new ones. Its carefully engineered surface ensures maximum safety and excellent performance, allowing athletes of all levels to enjoy the games they love.
The pump track promises an exhilarating ride for those seeking an adrenaline rush. Built to international standards, the track offers an array of twists, turns, and jumps for BMX riders, skateboarders, and scooter enthusiasts to test their skills and push their boundaries.
Kildare County Council has invested significant resources into this project to ensure that the playpark, MUGA, and pump track meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with the local community and stakeholders Kildare County Council have prioritized safety, accessibility, and durability to provide a facility that will withstand years of enjoyment.
In addition to the MUGA and pump track, the playpark features a range of exciting play equipment such as swings, slides, climbing frames, and interactive features, all specifically designed to encourage imaginative play and foster social interaction among children.
