Fire at McDonald's Restaurant, Moorefield, Newbridge
At 11:34 Kildare Fire Service was alerted to a fire at McDonalds restaurant on Moorefield Road in Newbridge.
Newbridge fire station and two additional stations were mobilised to the fire. There are currently a number of fire appliances in attendance at the scene and the fire service hydraulic platform is also in use.
While there is extensive damage to the property, there are no reports of injuries to any persons at the incident.
The fire is now under control however the fire service activities at the scene are likely to be ongoing for the next few hours.
Smoke is visible across a wide area, and residents close to fire are advised to keep windows and doors closed.
There is some traffic disruption in the area and this will continue while the fire service is at the scene.
