Taking in Charge of Roads and Services – Kildare County Council
Pursuant to Section 180 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) and in accordance with Section 11 of the Roads Act 1993, (as amended):
Notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council as the Roads Authority for County Kildare proposes to take in charge the roads, paths, public lights, open spaces and surface water systems and to declare the roads to be public roads in the housing estates listed hereunder, following the required statutory display and submissions procedures:

Particulars of the proposal, including maps showing the areas proposed to be taken in charge are available to view on Kildare County Council’s Consultation Portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/browse.
These documents can also be inspected at the public counter in the Roads and Transportation Department (Level 4) Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (except for public holidays) from Wednesday, 5 July 2023 to Wednesday, 2 August 2023 inclusive. An appointment will be necessary to view the documents in person and can be made at https://www.supersaas.co.uk/schedule/KCC_Booking_System/Roads_Transport_&_Public_Safety or by calling 045 980200.
Objections or representations in relation to the proposed taking in charge may be submitted via the Council’s Consultation Portal or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Development Control Section, Kildare County Council, Level 4, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Parkk, Naas, Co. Kildare. Written submissions should be marked Taking in Charge of “x” where “x” would be the ref. no. and name of the particular estate.
The latest date for receipt of submissions is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, 17 August 2023.
