Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it will close the following roads on Wednesday, 01 May 2024 to Friday, 01 November 2024 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act, 1993.

Alternative Routes: At the Canal Bridge in Rathangan head towards Monasterevin on the R414, then turn onto the L7008 at Tullylost Cross until meeting the L7007 at Springfield Cross. Continue on the L7007 towards the R401 at Thomastown Cross and turn onto the Kildare Town to Rathangan Road towards the Forge Crossroads. Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
