Road Traffic Act 2004-Section 10
M7 in the townlands of Hybla or Ballyneage, Mayfield or Ballynagalliagh, Lackaghmore, Cherryville, Mooretown, Whitesland West, Knockshough Glebe, Loughlion, Greyabbey, Tully West, Tully East, Kildare, Curraghfarm and Curragh.
Kildare County Council, in accordance with the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and in the interest of road safety, hereby makes the following Order in respect of the area comprising the administrative county of Kildare;
This order may be cited as the County of Kildare Road Works Speed Limit Order NRO4/2024.
80 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the Roads as specified in the first schedule to this order;
60 kilometres per hour shall be the Road Works Speed Limit for mechanically propelled vehicles on the Roads as specified in the second schedule to this order;
First Schedule
Roads in respect of which a Road Works Speed Limit of 80 kilometres per hour is prescribed;
A section of the M7 in the townlands of Hybla or Ballyneage and Mayfield or Ballynagalliagh.
M7 Kildare Bypass Pavement scheme will run from Wednesday, 19 June 2024 until Friday, 23 August 2024.
- Part of the M7 between a point 275 meters west of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 14 bridge structure to a point 225 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 14 bridge structure.
- Part of the M7 between a point 225 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 14 bridge structure to a point 830 meters west of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 12 bridge structure.
(Total 500m in length).
Second Schedule
Roads in respect of which a Road Works Speed Limit of 60 kilometres per hour is prescribed;
A section of the M7 in the townlands of Mayfield or Ballynagalliagh, Lackaghmore, Cherryville, Mooretown, Whitesland West, Knockshough Glebe, Loughlion, Greyabbey, Tully West, Tully East, Kildare, Curraghfarm and Curragh.
M7 Kildare Bypass Pavement scheme will run from Wednesday, 19 June 2024 until Friday, 23 August 2024.
(Total 12,000m in length).
- Part of the M7 Junction 14 westbound merge slip between a point 205 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 14 bridge structure to a point 500 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 14 bridge structure.
- Part of the M7 Junction 13 westbound diverge slip between a point 470 meters west of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 13 bridge structure to a point 245 meters west of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 13 bridge structure.
(Total 295m in length).

- Part of the M7 Junction 13 westbound merge slip between a point 175 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 13 bridge structure to a point 605 meters east of the centre of the existing M7 Junction 13 bridge structure.
(Total 430m in length).
An Garda Síochána and Transport Infrastructure Ireland have indicated that they have no objections to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
This Road Works Speed Limit Order will apply from Wednesday, 19 June 2024 until Friday, 23 August 2024.
