Kildare County Council, on behalf of Cleantech Civils, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Monday, 24 June 2024 to Saturday, 31 August 2024 to facilitate the installation of new electrical power ducting.

Alternative Routes: Southbound vehicles travelling on the R401 will divert left along the L3003 (circa 7km) as far as the junction with the R415. Turn right onto the R415 / Rathbride Road and continue (circa 2km) until a right turn onto Rathbride Abbey and continue along Rathbride Demense (circa 1km) as far as the Dunmurry Road / R401 junction. North bound vehicles will travel vice versa. |

Alternative Routes: Southbound vehicles travelling along the R401 are to continue along the R401 (circa 1.5km) as far as the junction with the Rathbride Demense Road, turn right onto the Rathbride Demense road and continue as far as the L7016 junction (circa 0.5km). Northbound vehicles will travel vice versa. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 13 May 2024.
