Kildare County Council, on behalf of Uisce Éireann, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road during the period commencing Monday, 11 March 2024 to Saturday, 30 March 2024 to facilitate permanent reinstatement.
Planned works are programmed for 4 calendar weekdays. Advance notification of start date will be provided. Roads will be opened if works are completed early.
Only one Road Closure will be in operation at any one time.

Alternative Routes: Westbound vehicles on the R403 from Lucan/M4 will be diverted left at the Shinkeen Road junction. They will continue on Shinkeen Road (circa 0.5km) to the R405 junction where they will divert right onto the R405 and continue onto the Liffey Bridge. Southbound vehicles from Celbridge Main Street and eastbound vehicles from Clane (Liffey Bridge) will be diverted onto the R405 Hazelhatch Road as far as Skinkeen Road where it will divert left. They will continue on the Skinkeen Road (circa 0.5km) and divert right back onto the R403. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 15 January 2024.
