Kildare County Council, on behalf of Kildare Newbridge Municipal District Office, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road during the period between Tuesday, 13 June 2023 to Saturday, 30 September 2023 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act, 1993.

Alternative Routes: Eastbound At Lea Crossroads keep on the R420 until the junction with the R445, turn left on to the R445 and head towards Monasterevin. In the centre of Monasterevin turn left onto the R424 (Main Street) and head in a northbound direction staying on the R424 and finishing at the junction of the R424/L7051 in Coolnafearagh. Northbound Travel along the R424 into Monasterevin through the Main Street to the junction of the R424/R445.Turn right and travel out of Monasterevin on the R445 to the junction of the R445/R420. At this junction turn right onto the R420 and travel northbound to Lea Crossroads where the diversion ends. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 22 May 2023.
