The group is for women: expats who relocated to Ireland and returning expats. The library would become a meeting place, to chat, make new friends and share stories - good and bad - about their transition from their native land to their present address. Join Jean in Leixlip Library to make a traditional straw Babóg Bhríde, a Brigid’s doll or Brideog. This custom is still practised in some parts of Ireland. The dolls are made on the eve of St. Brigid’s day and then brought around the village or town the next day to welcome the coming of spring.
