Temporary Relocation of Newbridge Community Library

Newbridge Community Library will temporarily close on Thursday, 11 December at 8pm to facilitate an important move to Liffey Lodge, Newbridge. Liffey Lodge will serve as the temporary home for Newbridge Community Library and will ensure that library services remain accessible to the community throughout the construction period of the new library.

As part of the relocation to the temporary premises, library users are advised of the following service updates:

• From Saturday, 22 November there will be no in-library request service. Customers can request items online and select an alternative Kildare library as a collection point.
• Your library membership is valid in any Kildare library and your library is open online 24/7.
• The library service no longer charges fines for late items, though library users wishing to return library items can do so at any other Kildare library.

Thank you for your patience during this transitional phase and we look forward to welcoming you to our temporary location in 2026, while your new library is under construction.
