The Kildare Local Studies collection includes an extensive range of books, journals, newspapers, photographs, postcards, maps, audio-visual material (including oral history recordings) and ephemera. Material published about or by people in Co. Kildare is the focus of the collection though it also includes works on Irish history, including a large amount of books published before 1850. Books and periodicals in the collection can be searched for via the online library catalogue.
The County Kildare Decade of Commemorations Programme delivered an inclusive, sensitive, and thoughtfully curated series of events, educational initiatives, publications, and artistic works that together create a lasting legacy of research, culture, and creativity reflecting life in Kildare from 1913 to 1923.
