Ephemera

Kildare Local Studies actively collects ephemeral material of relevance to County Kildare. Usually produced for short-term use, ephemera is valuable evidence of past events.

Examples of the types of ephmera in the Kildare Local Studies collections include:

  • Sports programmes including historic Kildare G.A.A. match programmes and racing programmes from Punchestown and the Irish Derby at the Curragh.
  • Political ephemera including election posters, flyers and promotional material relating to County Kildare
  • Tourism marketing material, including brochures and programmes for local festivals held across County Kildare
  • Cultural ephemera including Kildare Drama Festival programmes, concert tickets and posters and flyers.
